Project overview and Background

Jephthah Children ministry is a nonprofit organization founded in 2009 as a call from God. It was started by a team of dedicated persons with the aim of helping orphaned and vulnerable children and to nurture and usher them into what God predestined them to become. Over the years, Jephthath Children ministry has been able to provide a small orphanage project that provides children with a safe and stable home, education and other necessary support.  In 2017, our school in Kiwanga (Mukono) collapsed and the few remaining children had to be taken to the nearby schools to attain education. To date, most of the children that have passed through the ministry actually have their parents, but had been abandoned.  Over the years, over 20 vulnerable children of all ages and religious backgrounds have passed through the caring hands of ministry; others have gone back to their parents after being accepted due to change in their behaviors due to the rehabilitation endeavors of the ministry. Our hearts' desire is that by the year 2030, Jephthath Children ministry  will be a well established orphanage with adequate land, structures, and an administration with over 5,000  orphans being supported  and would have managed to send many through vocational Schools and colleges.

The ministry is currently based in Buto Village, Bweyogere Parish, Wakiso District.
